Meet Ana Farinha, Senior Advocate

A quote from Ana Farinha, Senior Advocate at Compass CHC for International Women's Day

To mark International Women’s Day 2026, on Sunday 8 March, we’re shining a spotlight on some of the inspiring women at Compass CHC who help shape our culture, empower their colleagues, and support our clients with integrity and passion.

At our employee awards in November 2025, Ana won the Client Champion Award, for always going above and beyond to provide an outstanding service to our clients. Ana is known by her colleagues as a kind and compassionate member of the team, she works hard representing families throughout the CHC process to ensure they receive a fair and accurate assessment.

What do you love most about your job?

What I love the most about my job is the opportunity to help families all over the UK and to fight for what is right. Nothing beats the feeling of delivering good news to people!

How did you get to where you are today?

I moved to the UK in 2018 to do my law degree, and after graduating, I went on to study for my LPC. After six years of studying, working for a law clinic and having various retail jobs, I got a job at Compass CHC. After two years with the company, I was promoted to Senior Advocate, allowing me to help families with the most complex cases.

What are your tips for success?

I think perseverance is the key to success. Success comes from knowing that the path will not always be easy, but if you’re willing to go the extra mile you can achieve your goals.

What does this year’s theme, ‘Give to Gain’, mean to you?

I believe giving is the best way of gaining. In every aspect of life, there is no better feeling than giving, whether it is love, advice, or just some company. Knowing that our presence and our actions can make someone’s life better gives us a purpose, which is the best gift we can gain.
